Can't remember Password

Have WindowsXP Pro. I recently changed the password and now I can't get back
in. Have tried every spelling with and without caps. Is there a way to get
into my windows without the proper password or do I have to format the HD
and reinstall Windows?
Help!!!

This was recommended on Tech Tv's "Call For Help" last week:

accidentally found this also:

programs myself, so please don't take this as a personal recommendation.
But it would appear that you do have some options short of reinstalling
Windows.
