Can't recover Outlook data after dropping exchange server

My Outlook was set up to use an Exchange server as the primary mail service. Two other POP services were also used. The Exchange server was turned off so I removed it from my list of accounts. I now have none of my old data (contacts, e-mail etc) available. When I try to open the pst file where I think this data is I get a password required notice. I did not set a password so I cannot access this data. Does anyone know a way around this?

Was the data stored in pst-files and not on the Exchange Server?

For the password protected pst-file see

Yes, I believe so. After the sever was taken down the messages, calander etc were still visible. Mail was also still collected through the POP servers though Outgoing mail did not send.

Alright. Were you able to retrieve your data now?

I tried using the utility on and off all day. I defined a folder on my C drive to put everything in including a copy of the pst file that I wanted the password to. Then I went to start - run and put in all of the path info and the executable name then the rest of the sttring -x path and filemane and I keep getting and error message that the file (or one of its components cannot be found. I have tried numerous permitations and combinations and am stumped. Any ideas??
I appreciate your input. Thanks Chris

It's probably more easy if you put the pst19upg.exe file in the same folder
as the pst-file so you don't have to define paths. Also having a
pst-filename without any spaces in it would help. Just name it outlook.exe
or something.

I did what you suggested and managed to get the executable to create a .psx file. When I run the next step ie -i filename.psx the program aborts. The error message is:
Failed importing PROPERTY LIST
Failed importing FOLDER 0x00000122
Program terminated in error (80040600)

Could this be due to the original pst file being quite large (573MB)?
Do you have any other ideas?
Thanks again.
