cant recieve email not sure what system i have dont know that much about comp

You first need to replace your keyboard. The shift, comma, and period
keys don't work.

Sorry, but the battery died in my crystal ball. I can't see that error
message that you chose not to divulge here. Also can't see WHICH
version of Windows that you are using. Also can't see WHICH version of
Windows that you are using. Also can't see what TYPE of e-mail account
you are using. Also can't see your network setup to know how your reach
your ISP from your computer. Pretty hard to diagnose a painting in an
unlit closed room.

Usually you get one chance per potential respondent to elicit a reply
from them. If they skip your post because you gave them nothing to go
on (no details, no versions, no context), usually they will just move on
to the next post and never return to yours. Go read:

No-one can do anything with that single sentence that tells us absolutely
NOTHING.
 
When Outlook is open, please click on Help on the menu toolbar and then
scroll to about. That will tell you what version of Outlook you're using.
Please post that.

If there are any error messages when you attempt to send/receive email,
please copy the error message down in its entirety and post that. Thank you.

Yep, I have a harsh outlook on all deliberately obtuse users that choose
to provide absolutely no useful information to provide some context on
diagnosing their problem. If they don't want to provide details, they
don't want help. This is Usenet, not a chat room full of disconnected
posts. Discussions here are threaded. Those that are here to provide
help should not have to dig out one piece of information per post. Do
you think the car shop would really be able to fix your car if all you
told them was that "it's broke"?

You've heard the mot "There are no dumb questions." Yes, there are.
Case in point.
