Can't receive mail

First my apologies for my dutchy english. Hope it won't bother you too much..

I've set up an account in windows live mail for my tiscali/telfort mail
account and a second one for my hotmail account. hotmail works perfectly but
the Tiscali account doesn't.

Sending mail works fine, connection seems to be ok too (in a short moment
you see a pop-up that WML tries to connect with the accounts) but i can't
receive any mails i sent to myself or others sent to me, neither from a
hotmail account nor from my other pc using tiscali account and OE.

I read the answers to other questions and checked the copy on server box on
both PC's with the tiscali account but this didn't help.
I checked the settings on both pc's but can't find any differences.
It's not likely that Norton is interferring as hotmail and sending mail
works fine, isn't it? Also IE and downloading is ok.
I do not get any mailer daemon or other error reports. And i really don't
know where to look now.
There's no password protection on pop3 or smtp, as i checked that too and
got an error message.

Please, does anyone have a suggestion what i could try next? Isn't this a
problem of Vista/WML?

Send an e-mail to yourself. You'll get an error message. We need that error
message. Post the entire error message, verbatim.

Your Dutchy English is better than a lot of Englishy (or Americany) English
that I see.

As for Norton, when software does not work correctly, don't expect it to
work in any manner you can expect, unless you know the details of the actual
bug. So you might be correct that it is not a Norton problem, but it would
help to verify that assumption. I don't know how to, since I don't advise
using the internet without a AV program, but I hope you can try
un-installing Norton, as others suggest, and be sure to use the removal tool
to be sure to get it all.

You could try installing a free AV program, such as Avast (I use it
permanently) and use it temporarily.
