When using remote administration tools i cannot recive any
information from the server, i can connect to the server
but recive no information. I have contacted the programmer
of this application and he advised me to reinstall my
tcp/ip. I have reset my tcp/ip, still i get no information
from the server. I have tried diffrent tools all with the
same problem. I have also turned of firewalls and AV still
it will not work. Can anyone help please?

What firewall application is involved on your machine?

Rather than simply turning it off, consider using MSCONFIG to disable all
services related to it from startup, restart, and try your remote
administration operation again.

If that doesn't seem relevant, I think we need to know more exactly what you
are doing--what applications are involved, etc.

I tried the MSCONFIG and disabled the firewall (zone alarm)
still have the same problem. I am trying to connect to
localhost with LMR R.A.T which could be classified as a
trojan, i also tried sub 7 ( offical release ) but XP home
will not let me run it saying "do not have nessesery
permission to run this programme" even with administration
access . I don't think i will be able to get this to work
even though on the forums i have visited no one else seems
to have this prob on xp. Thanks for your help anyway.

Well--if this were something you really needed to have working, next
suggestion would be to uninstall Zone Alarm.

Shouldn't be different than disabling the services from starting, I'd think,
though.

I think I am glad to hear that this stuff doesn't run for you on XP Home,
but I'm not certain that it is inherent to the product.

I've never heard of a problem with commercial remote admin tools, or VNC, on
XP Home.
