Lately I'm not being able to log off or reboot the server.
When I click log off or reboot nothing happens at all most
of the times. Occasionally it will restart or log off just
fine but most of the time it just does nothing when I try
to log off or reboot. I've tried shutdown.exe but it won't
work neither most of the time. I've been having to
shutdown manually everytime I need to reboot or log off.

Any ideas.? I would appreciate any help you all can
provide.

Hello Fernando,

Have you booted the computer into safe mode to see if you still have
shutdown issue there? (To get to Safe Mode, hit F8 before you get to the
splash screen and select Safe Mode. If you don't have shutdown problems
in Safe Mode then you may want to try MSConfig from Windows XP if
available. (You can copy MSConfig.exe to a Windows 2000 computer and it
will work. MSConfig allows you to disable Startup, Win.ini, System.ini and
Services (hide the Microsoft Services first) to see if third party programs
are causing the problem. If you can identify what is causing the shutdown
issue, try uninstalling the program or driver to resolve the problem.
