I created an access 2003 db that resides on a ms 2003 server. When I try to
access it from one of the machines it says "read only" (machine #1) and i
can't edit or add any data. I access the same file from another machine
(machine #2) and it's fine.
I have looked at the files on the server and they (program and linked data)
are not read-only.
The only thing i can think of is when i first installed it on machine #1, and
when i first started it it complained about the macro security. I went into
macro -> security and lowered it as low as it would go. From that point the
db said read-only. I may have answered one of those questions wrong. It
feels
like a setting is wrong on Access (on machine #1) but i don't know how or
what to change.
No, security is not enabled on the machine.
