I am trying to upload new pages to my website and keep
getting "cannot connect to ftp server". Yet a couple of
weeks ago I could and I've changed nothing. PLEASE HELP!

Have you contacted your Host to see if they change anything?

I did check with them and they checked everything and
couldn't find that anything is incorrect. I then tried
connecting through a different FTP program and didn't
have a problem with that one, but I would like to use my
FP to upload so that my website appears with all of the
additions that FP offers.

1. If you are uploading via FTP with or without FP, you are not using any of
the FP run-time functions as they only work on a server that has the FP
extensions and when you publish via FP's http mode.

2. Ask your host is they upgraded or changed the configuration of their FTP
server software.

That was my thought when I couldn't upload and he assured
me that everything on their end was the same. The FP
extentions are supported so that active links work, but
they will not upload with another FTP program. He says
this is a FP problem since the other program works.

If the FP extensions are installed, you should not be using FTP, as doing so
will corrupt the FP extensions in most cases.

Try the following from FP:

File Menu | Open Web, enter your URL as, http://www.domainname.com then your
login info, click Ok, then click Open

Does this open your site, if so then the FP extensions are installed, next
open your local copy of your web in FP, then File Menu | Publish Web and
then enter http://www.yourdomainname.com and FP should start publishing.

Ok, that didn't work. I've been assured that nothing has
changed with the server so what could I be doing wrong?
I've always used the FTP upload with FP.
