Can't print with comments

When I try to print a powerpoint with comments the comments print but not the
slides. If I only print the slides, they print well. Any idea on where this
could come from ?
 
I have tried both with Powerpoint 2008 on a mac running Leopard and
powerpoint 2003 on a PC running windows XP. I am having the same problem on
both.

To print i go to Files > Print and instead of printing with the option
"Slides" I choose the option "Comments".

My software is not in English but I am going to try to translate as best i
can.
I am putting you the options put on the PP2003 on the windows xp machine.

Name : I choose the name of my printer
Extended : the "ALL" box is ticked
Copies : number of copies says "1" the copies assembled box is ticked
Print : i chose the comment option
Color / grayscale : i chose the grayscale option
Also the "put to the scale of the paper" box is ticked
The "surround the slides" box is ticked

Then I can access the printers option if you want me to describe them, but
those are the same for all power point documents and as I said, I am able to
print some powerpoints with comments, it's just this one I am having problems
with. And of course, with my bad luck, it's the one I need for a conference
in two weeks :(
