Hi,
I have a new Dell Dimension 4600 running Windows XP and
can't seem to get the "Print Screen" command to work when
I hit the key at the top of my keyboard. What I want to
do is to list the contents of folders and print a list of
the contents. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Dan

The PrtScn key captures an image of the screen. Open Paint (or a graphis
program) and paste that image from the clipboard to the program. Print the
image.

dan - you are asking about 2-diff functions and
they are not necessarily compatible to produce
what you want - as it'd be slow at best
ie
1/
'printscreen' - viz fullscreen/press 'printscreen' key
or
'alt+printscreen' keys/simul/for 'active window'
are 'frame at a time functions'
note
great for 'interim screen snap-it routines'
then
paste-in image/copy - to msword/paint/adobe acrobat/etc
note
make sure 'clipboard/clipbrd.exe/is activated' - ie
go start/run - clipbrd.exe/
and take it fr there
2/
to get/do a 'listing of folder(s) contents' can be done
much easier/smoother by using an 'appropriate s/w pgm'
which in this ref'd case is freeware
ie
karen's - Directory Printer v3.4
http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptdirprn.asp
and
in this way you use more appropriate/useful tools
to get what you want
