Mother runs XP home. After a virus attack she can not
print in IE6 or Outlook Express. There is no printer
response, no icon appears in sys tray, no printing window,
nothing. Have updated drivers for epson c80; no change.
Prints fine in Word, etc. any ideas?

I have a similar problem with one of my customers... any
ideas ?

I can feel a format of the hard drive and re-installation
coming on :S

This article specifies problem with TEMP folder. Look at it for some clues.
Cannot Print from Internet Explorer or Outlook Express
When you try to print from Internet Explorer or Outlook Express when running
Windows NT 4.0, nothing may happen (you may receive no printout), and you
may receive no error message. This can occur with either a local or a
network printer.

Check this one also. Could be an encoding problem. The article refers to IE
6 also.
Web Page or E-mail Message Does Not Print or Preview Correctly in Internet
Explorer 5.5 and Outlook Express 5.5
When you attempt to print an e-mail message in Microsoft Outlook Express
5.5, a blank page may print with the Header (To:,From:,Subject, and so on)
and Footer information of the e-mail message.

Follow up on my previous reply. I found this note.

I had a problem not being able to print from either I.E. or Outlook Express,
and if I tried to use Page Setup, I.E. would hang.

The version info in the Help/About was completely gone. I got paid help from
Microsoft,
and the following steps fixed the problem.

First, using Internet Options, delete all cookies, temp files and objects.
This might
fix it for some people.

In my case, I also had to use regsvr32 from the start/run command to
re-register vbscript.dll and jscript.dll.

At the Start/Run applet execute these commands
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
regsvr32 jscript.dll

Then, thank god, everything worked. A frustrated I.E. 6 users.
