Hibernator

What would cause a system to lose connection to the
printer during hibernation? It happened in Win98, and
still happens repeatedly after upgrading to WinXP (same
system). After rebooting, printing resumes normally --
but what a pain. Any help would be much appreciated!

Microsoft recommends that your BIOS should be newer than January 1, 2000 if you wish
to use the hibernation and advanced power management features of Windows XP.

Also make sure that USB is set so it does not turn off power to the device
on standby hibernate

Also if it's a Lexmark check for a USB fix at lexmark.com for your model.
