Can't post to the newsgroup with the new interface

Since the web interface changed, I can no longer submit any new posts or
replies. It's probably a network/firewall issue and I can't think of a way
to overcome it. The simplicity of the previous functionality allowed me to
post, but no longer.

On a related note, I can't reduce the size of the message content area. I
can't read the subject content of the posts, but when I try to narrow the
size of the message content, it immediately repositions itself to where it
was. Is there a way to fix this also.

And yes ... I did login with my hotmail account.
Thanks.
Diana

Dump the d*** thing and use an NNTP newsreader:

To set up an account for MSnews in Outlook Express
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/resources/communities.htm#setupmsnews

Copy/paste the following link into an IE Addressbar window and click GO.
This newsgroup will open in your default newsreader, prolly OE.

I have it setup at home to use Outlook Express, and it's worked for at least
a couple of years. I used the same setup at work as I did at home, but it
didn't work, but you know what ... I'm delighted to give your link a try.
Maybe there's something I'm missing ... and I'm hoping that you are right.
I'll give it a try when I'm back at work on Monday. I'll forward this to my
email.
Thanks for responding.

Check with your admin at work. Many employers don't want you accessing
newsgroups (when you should be working) and disallow NNTP access.

Pa Bear ... I think you are right. I recently noticed a number that some
sites cannot be accessed ... probably IT has setup restrictions.
The thing is ... it was because of work that I wanted it ... but no matter.
I'm only on a short assignment at that place, so I won't sweat. Thanks for
the response.

Talk to them, they may make an exception for you if you can present a good
case for newsgroup access being able to help you solve a work-related
problem. (Hint: Not all IT's have a clue. <w>)
