can't play windows mediaplayer audio and video files, MCI won't initialise

what should i do, i think powerpoint is using quicktime to
try and read the files, how do i change it to use windows
media player instead?

You probably need to tell us what version of PowerPoint you are using, what
version of Windows, what message you receive and when you receive it, and
what type of sound and video files you are using. How are you adding them
to PowerPoint?
