Hi,

I can't seem to be able to ping my own IP address. I can
ping the loopback and gateway addresses. A temporary
solution is to unbind and bind the TCP/IP protocol stack
every time I do not have an Internet connection. THis
works most times but not all the time. Please can you?

Regards
Jat

One possible cause is a mis-configured firewall program. Un-install
all firewall programs (ZoneAlarm, Norton Internet Security, etc) while
troubleshooting. Note that some recent antivirus programs also
include firewalls.
