If I do a Print Screen, I can paste the image into Word, bit I cannot paste
it into PowerPoint. It shows up in the Office Clipboard, but I can't paste
it into PP. I can copy it from Word and paste it into PP. This used to
work! Help!

Why not? What do you do to try to paste it and what happens instead?

Have your PowerPoint presentation up and running before you copy to the
clipboard from your other program. Then bring your PPT to the front and
Paste. When some programs are opened they automatically clear the
clipboard. Word is one. Try it. Use PrtScn to copy something when Word
is not open. Then open Word and try to paste it. It won't work. You have
to open Word first, then copy your item. Now you can Paste it in Word.

Interesting ... Word doesn't do that here (Office 2003), but I'm not doubting
that it does it in other versions. What version are you using?

Addins in PPT or Word may also clear the clipboard, by the way. It might not
be the app or version but an addin.

I'm using Word 2002. Sounds like they fixed that in 2003 version. Perhaps
the clearing of the clipboard when my Word 2002 is opened might be due to
some add-in program. I have PPT 2000 and I tried PrtScn copy then opened
PPT and it pasted OK. Go figure. But it still won't work for Word.
Opening it clears the memory of PrtScn so I have to first open Word and then
use PrtScn to both copy and paste.

Sounds like an addin then. Do you have Acrobat? I think some versions of its
addins played this game.
