when I receive an email with a picture, I cannot open it.
It was not sent as an attachment. The pictures are sent
from the webshots. The only message I get is that the
email will be available for 24 hours, but no graphics. Do I
have something set wrong?

There are two ways that I know of for pictures to appear in your email:

--The pictures are attached and the email client displays the attached
image within the message body. Check settings of email program for
attachments and for the display of images. Need to be reading in HTML or
Rich Text format so check those settings too.

--The email is coded to make a call to a website. That in turn feeds the
image into the message body. Requires reading email in html form and an
online connection. Similar checks to above. May need to check settings in
security and firewall software as well.

I do not know what "webshots" is. If it's a website, you may want to check
their online support area to see what recommendations they have.

Webshots is a web-based photo storage/sharing site. Webshot users send an invitation to view their photos at the
Webshots web site. The email does not contain a photo, but will have a link to the photo. Click the link and you
will be taken to the page with the photo. You can then download the photo to your computer if you wish.

Thanks, Jeff. Hope that info helps Ruth out.
