S SG Feb 5, 2008 #3 Hi, A MS Works file extension is .wks not .doc A .doc extension is a Word document 2003 or earlier. See if something here can help you... http://www.microsoft.com/products/works/downloads.mspx If not and this only started happening a few days ago then try System Restore.
