can't open this item the object could not be found

one of my users gets this when he tries to open a reoccuring event on his
calendar. anyone know why ?
 
I get the same error with my reoccuring events. I can't figure out why and
I've tried running the Detect & Repair and I few other things, but nothing
seems to be working.
