Can't open query

I have a query that when I try to open it in design mode, it brings up
an error that I have a syntax problem. The issue I'm having is, that
I can't even get into the query to edit the syntax issue. All it
gives it the option to click ok or help.

Is there any key I can hold down to get into the query with some
override option? Any other help is appreciated.

Try copying the query, then open the copy in design view.
