Can't open protected files

We currently have a mix of office 2000 and 2007. When a user with 2007 saves
a PowerPoint presentation with a password and saves it as a 97 - 2003 format
a user with 2000 doesn’t get asked for the password and so can't open the
file.

Is there a fix for this issue?

Hi Keith

There is no facility in 2000 to read passwords. It won't be able to open a
passworded file from either 2007 or XP / 2003
