i have xp sp2 and adobe 6 pro and the new 7.05 reader - my IE wont let
me open pdfs it says you dont have access rights.....wont open anything
- or accept any pop up - which is annoying cos i cant register for
anything that needs popups...... any clues anyone

Hi,
[Assuming XP SP2]
From IE> Tools> Pop-up blocker (with only 1 IE window open) Turn off pop-up
blocker. Close that IE window.

Check the settings of any third-party security, privacy, ad-blocking
programs (or toolbars) that are installed. One of them may be blocking new
windows.

Re: PDFs... In Folder Options> Filetypes, try setting Adobe Pro to open
PDFs, rather than Adobe Reader. Uninstalling Adobe Reader may be necessary.
Something here may help: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/ie/pdf.htm

Hope this helps,
Don

If you have ActiveX blocked (from running) then Acrobat's BHO (browser
helper object) won't work.
