Can't open PDF in IE6

Hello,

I am using Windows 2000, IE 6, Adobe Reader 5&6.

I have some problem to open some pdf filed in IE6. I can
open most of pdf files in IE6, but some of them ( may be
10-20% ) got the following error message: "A file I/O
error has occurred. The file connection timed out". The
problem is not consistent: some files can be opened on one
computer but not others ( all computers have the same
operating system and software ). Save the file on the hard
drive, than reopen it, it worked on one computer, but not
others.

Tried uninstalled Adobe Reader 5 and installed Adobe
Reader 6, still same problem.

Please help and I appreciate your time.

Hello Henri,

Thanks for your information. I will study the information
on your web site.

One more questions, for the problem pdf link, if I click
Tools in IE6, then Internet Options, then Delete Files (
Temporary Internet Files ), reload the page again, this
will fix the problem. But is there any simple way to fix
this?

Thanks again,

Mac

Try this. From the Help file.

To create more space for temporary Internet pages

In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
On the General tab, click Settings.
To create more space to store pages temporarily, move the slider to the
right.
