Can't open outlook

When I try to open Outlook I get this message YOU MICROSOFT EXCHANGE SERVER
IS UNAVAILABLE and I have three option. I can click cancel which closes the
program, I can click retry which brings me back to the same message or I can
click work offline which brings me to this message UNABLE TO OPEN YOUR
DEFAULT E-AMIL FOLDERS. YOUR PROFILE IS NOT CONFIGURED. I only have option to
cklick OK which closes the program. I saw similar messages on the board but
were not able to read answers.
Any suggestions what should I do? Thanks.

you just need to check the network connection setting and the netowk
connectivity...

Or, if you are not using Exchange, you need to use the mail applet in the
control panel to configure OL to use pop/smtp
