can't open Norton's Antivirus

I have Norton's Antivirus installed and I know that I
have this "worm" virus and it won't let me open,
uninstall, or install Norton's in order to get rid of it.
Everytime I click on NAV in the start/all programs/Norton
Antivirus place it starts to load and then I get an error
message that says that microsoft can't open it do I want
to send them a message. Can someone please please help me
to get this taken care of?????? I am bordering
desperation. Thanks tons.

http://www.symantec.com/cgi-bin/securitycheck.cgi
Scan for viruses and see if Symantec remove the same for
you or at least give you the name of the virus so you can
download the removal tool if appropriate.
