Cant open new window from link!

When I try to click on a "window.open" link on any web
page in order to open a new window
using internet explorer 6.0 I get this javascript error..

Error: No such interface supported

I have reinstalled ie6 but this has made no difference.
Note: I have VisualStudio.net 2003 and IIS installed if
this could possibly be a factor.

Can anyone please help?

I have the very same problem.
Tried everything to fix it but in the meantime I have had
to resort to using another browser type.

Temporarily disable Visual Studios and IIS and see if they are interfering
with IE.
