Hi, hope somebody can help with this annoying problem I have with IE
Explorer.

When I open Internet Explorer, I open it from the quick launch bar at the
bottom of the screen or either from the 'Start' menu. By using this method
I can open as many IE Explorer windows as I wish.

However, when I am on a web page and click on a link that is supposed to
open another browser window, nothing happens. It just freezes and then I
have to reboot and restart in order to continue.

At first I thought it may have been a virus, however I have updated my
anti-virus software and did a scan and repair and the problem still
persists.

Could anybody help with this one?

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Don,

Thanks for your reply. I have studied each and every one of the suggestions
from the links that you have sent to me, however still seem to be going
nowhere as the problem still persists.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks again for your help.

Mark

OK. The "have to reboot" should have told me that this isn't the usual
problem.

Some additional suggestions:

Do you have a program trying to stop pop-up windows? It might be the cause.
