Can't Open Microsoft AntiSpyware

I have downloaded and reinstalled AntiSpyware 3 times.
It appears to install properly, and I can run a scan, but
when I click on Open Microsoft AntiSpyware, I get a brief
flash of "Loading...", but then nothing. (No menu, no
dialog, nothing). I get a similar behavior after running
a scan; the sotware detects 28 problems, but when I click
on the View Results button, I never get anything. The
dialog disappears, and it says "Loading..", and then
nothing - just my desktop.

Any suggestions?

Disable Microsoft AntiSpyware in the notification area, right click the
bulls eye icon, click "Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware" Go into Control Panel
Ad/Remove Programs and uninstall Microsoft AntiSpyware. Navigate
c:\Program files and delete the Microsoft AntiSpyware folder.

Restart and install Microsoft AntiSpyware to a non-default location such as
c:\MSAS
