When I get a jpg (jpeg) file in an email, I can't display the picture in the
default program which is Windows Photo Galery. I get a message that the
interface is not supported. If I change the program default to another
program, e.g. Photoshop Elements, the picture opens. To get the pictures to
view in Windows Photo Galery, I need to save them first in a folder then open
them. I am using Vista. This worked in XP just fine.

Under Tools->Options check the read tab. If the option to "Read all messages
as plain text" is checked, uncheck it.

Took a look. It wasn't checked. Problem remains.

Then perhaps you can find a different newsgroup, where questions about how
to use Windows applications are more appropriate.

This newsgroup is for .NET Framework programming questions. Your question
appears not to be in any way related to programming nor the use of the
..NET Framework.

I certainly did post it wrong didn't I. Thanks.
