Can't open it

I tried to instal new effects and since then i had problem with WMM.
Since then, i can open the program but when i try to make a clip on the
timeline, it closes the program and it never work!
i tried to install and re install etc. but it doesn't change anything.
does someone know how to change that?

well i tried adorage effects (the demo) but then i deleted my WMM cuz it was
all crappy and when i reinstalled it again and again it never worked! and now
it does that. it doesn't let me work on it at all.

You *deleted* Movie Maker? Which
version were you running?

Have you installed WinXP SP2?

i had the version that was on my computer...dont know the one it was!
no i have version 2..well it doesnt work but it's on my computer.
i haven't install the stuff u r talking about cuz it's supposed to be on my
computer already i think and i didn't find where to dl it...

Since you failed to answer my question...
I'll just hope that when you say *delete*
you actually meant to say *uninstall from
Add-Remove Programs*.

Version 2.0 can be downloaded from
the following link:

MovieMaker 2.0

Right click your My Computer icon and
choose Properties...it will tell you if you
are running Service Pack 2.

Version 2.1 is installed as a component
of WinXP SP2:

Download Windows XP SP2

Generally, users install from the net but this
site allows you to download the complete
file to your hard drive before installing.

It's good for a network administrator because
you can burn it on a CD and install it on as
many computers as you need to.

And it's good for a single machine because
if you ever need to install it again...you'll have
it available without waiting for a download.

well i actually delete it but not by that way..i went on my disk and delete
all the files.. :S
about the my computer thing, i dunno how to copy paste the info but it says
version 2002 (XP), service pack 2.

and i already dl the WMM 2 from this site! but it still doesn't wanna work.
i'm wondering if it installs all the codecs etc. cuz it's weird!
and a friend cant send hers to me so.. :(

Deleting files/folders to remove a program
is not a good idea...it's always best to use
Add-Remove programs.

Might be worth a try to do a System Restore
if you have a restore point dated before the
problems began.

Since you already have SP2, you should have
Movie Maker 2.1.

Also it may be worth a try to reinstall SP2.
