Ben

I am using Windows XP Home Edition on a stand alone computer, no network
hookups other than to the internet via DSL, I use Zone Alarm Pro as a
software Firewall.

Today I tried to open Internet Options in Internet Explorer 6 and was
confronted with an error message that said "This operation has been
cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact
your system administrator.", that would be me.

I created a new user, gave him Admin. priveleges and Internet Options worked
just fine but with my user profile I cant use Internet Options Menu. I have
changed nothing that would affect this, at least I dont think I have, does
anyone have any ideas?, Thank you for your help everyone.

Perhaps this page can help you:
http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/442/. The key that you
should look for in the Registry is called NoBrowserOptions. If it is
present in your registry (probably in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\
Restrictions), change its value to 0 by double-clicking on the value and
entering 0. Also, don't forget to select "Decimal" before clicking OK.
