Can't open FTP sites

I cannot open any FTP sites, I have tried changing the internet folder option to enable folder view for FTP sites but nothing works. How do i fix this problem?

Do you have a firewall? Check the settings if so.

Also, if you run ftp from a command prompt, you may get
some error messages or codes you could search on to
diagnose the problem.

I have seen this problem, the best solution is to use a third party FTP
client like WS_FTP or Cute FTP. Lets hope MS fixes this problem soon.

Internet options advanced enable folder view for ftp menu.

ftp://mirrors.kernel.org/gnu/avl/ no problem with this site.
