I have been using the antispyware program for the past
few months. However, recently I can not open the program
to run a scan. I keep getting a message "Please wait
while windows configures Barchart/CBOT activeX controls".
Then it searches for a folder called "cbot.msi" which it
can't find anywhere. I tried uninstalling and
reinstalling the program but the problem still exists.
Any help would be much appreciated.

You can't just "uninstall" MSAS. It still leaves about 800 entries in your
registry. About 600 of them can be removed with a good reg cleaner. The
others you will have to remove with a reg finder such as JV16. Then you must
do a search and remove all MSAS files including dlls. Then, if you know half
way what you are doing, you may have a chance of cleaning up your system.
