can't my get win xp pro past blue screen ?

need help getting past blue screen. tried booting up in
safe mode,last known configuration and it still won't
boot up. another problem is that i lost my lic# to xp pro.

can anyone help me.

What did you do with your Product Key? You know, the one that says "do not
lose this key"?

Your "unmountable_boot_volume" can sometimes be resolved by running "chkdsk
C: /r" from the Recovery Console command prompt.

As to your missing Product Key, once you get the system recovered, there are
utilities that can retrieve it for you.

This utility works for retail versions:
http://www.webtree.ca/windowsxp/ViewKeyXP.exe

For OEM versions, download and install Aida32 from:
http://www.aida32.hu/aida-download.php?bit=32

You want the Personal Operating System version. The key is under OS
information.

Or, try this one which just gives you the key:
