Vista Home premium SP1.
I have two folders within my Documents folder. My Standard user account has
full control on both folders. I am trying to move one to the other but I get
"Destination folder access denied"!!!!!!!!
As I say, in the security tab of each folder I have FULL CONTROL!!!!!!
Why should I get this error?

Is that "Documents" or "My Documents"?
Not all things that appear as folders are really folders. The
"My Something-or-other" folders may just be junction points and
don't function the way one would expect actual folders to behave.

If you are dealing with actual folders, and you have the requisite
"permissions" then there might be an issue with the "Integrity Level"
of the folders in question.

Gordon isn't THAT stupid!!

Hmmm... :o\

Without fullly qualified paths, how can one know? I can put
a "Documents" folder just about anywhere - with various
results when attempting access from various other places.

....I did include other ideas for the event he really does know
how Vista works.

It was "Documents".
Anyway, I seem to have solved it - Word had a file from this particular
folder open, which caused the error message.......

I thought of that too, but only after I hit send.

It would be nice to have more information than "access is denied"
from a notification box. File in use, unsufficient privilege, integrity
level not dominated...etc...
