I just bought a new computer, so I am in the process of cleaning out my old
one. It's a Windows 2000 OS. I might have deleted something or changed a
setting, I'm not sure. I'm trying to transfer my files, and no matter which
way I try to do it, nothing happens. Copy and paste, cut and paste, drag and
drop...none work. HELP!!!
For example, lets say i was just tring to take a word document and
drag it into a different folder. That should copy the file and paste it into
the new folder, or shall i say it would 'move' the file. When I do that,
nothing happens. the file stays where it origionally was. So reguardless of
whether im trying to transfer the files to the external drive, or dragging
and dropping them into new folders on the old HD, nothing happens. Its as if
there was a command for drag and drop or copy and paste, and its turned off.
How do I turn it on!!! I don't have a dvd burner on this computer. I have a
cd burner, but thats not really going to help me, as I have large video files
to move.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jennifer
