A clean installed Windows 2000 Server SP-4 and patched to the last patch via
Windows update.

I've followed step-by-step all instructions as per the MS site, but I
haven't been able to make it work.

The first NIC in the NAT server is set so, working flawlessly and seeing
both the network and the internet:

IP adress: 192.168.100.11
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.100.10
Prim. DNS: 213.140.2.12
Sec. DNS: 213.140.2.21

I think that is the settings I set the 2nd NIC, the one pointed to the Lan
that is somehow wrong, but I can't figure it out... the settings:

IP adress: 192.168.0.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
Prim. DNS: 213.140.2.12
Sec. DNS: 213.140.2.21

The client machines (using IP Address 192.168.0.3 and up) can see the
network but can't connect to the internet... what am I doing wrong?

Can somebody point me to a step-by-step guide in how to do this...?

Pretty please...?

Change the IP of the first NIC to 192.168.0.5 ( the last number is not that
importiant)
Change your gateway on the first NIC to 192.168.0.1

Give this a try. I'm assuming this is a w2k server with 2 nics. one for
internet connection acting as a router and the other is for your internal
network. If you don't want to use 0 as the third octate they you will need
to install a software network bridge.
