John

My XP Pro and Outlook seem to work fine unless I attach a
picture. Then I get error messages. The first few
messages with pictures usually make it but the balance
remain stuck in my outbox , but with a sent date and time
listed. I try and try to resend but only get error
messages.
I got a few angry responses from people who get 8-10
copies of the message, that as far as I know is still
stuck in my outbox.
I would have asked Microsoft about this but the web site
is totally intimidating and user unfreindly. Why do I
need a Passport acount, I can't remember all my logons
now. They took a simple thing and made it an overwhelming
task to ask for help. It lowers their cost I guess. I
suffer in silence!!! And I refuse to pay for help for
something I already paid for that doesn't work.
How many cars would Ford sell with a policy like this!!

Hi John,
I'm not sure if I can help, but I'll give it a shot.
Can you please tell me exactly what the error message
says?

I see that there are 3 identical copies of you previous
message posted on the newsgroup site, so it looks like
you may have a more general problem with your email.

Which version of Outlook are you running?
If you're not sure, open Outlook, click on the Help menu
at the top of the window and click the menu item that
says: "About Microsoft Outlook" or "About Microsoft
Office Outlook". A dialog box will open. The version
number should be on the first line of the dialog window.

Have you installed all the latest Windows XP and Office
updates from www.WindowsUpdate.com?

It is tedious to have to install these updates, but I
have found that it's the best way to prevent problems
with Windows and Office.
