I have set up a user account and went through Control Panel -> Users and Passwords -> Group Membership tab to select Power User for this user. However, when trying to logon as this user, I get an error message saying that this user is not allowed to log on interactively.

Is there something wrong with the settings/privileges for the Power User group? Or is there something else that I need to do to enable interactive logon of Power Users?

Hello James,

If the machine you are trying to log on as the user is a domain controller
you need to grant them the "Log On Locally" right in the Default Domain
Controllers Security portion of Group Policy. If this is not a domain
controller you want to check this local right by popping open gpedit.msc.
