Greetings,

When I try to log on to the internet I am given the
following error message:

Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

What gives? Any suggestions? I have no internet access
because of this.

Disable third-party browser extensions in Internet Explorer
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Internet Options.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Under Browsing, clear the Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart) check box.
5. Restart Internet Explorer.

If this helps, read here for further troubleshooting:

Ramesh,

many thanks! I was having a similar problem, and disablin
the third party browser extensions corrected it.

PS does this mean that there is probably some spyware on
my system that i need to get rid of?

thanks again,
John

John,

Yes. By disabling third-party browser extensions, we're telling Internet Explorer not to load the third-party plugins [legit ones and malware plugins]. If this helps, read here for further troubleshooting:
