Went into msconfig to restart in safe mode. Now I can't
get past the logon screen. How do I get past this or get
back to the msconfig??

Hi,

Boot the WinXP CD, load the Recovery Console. From the command prompt, run
"bootcfg /rebuild". It should detect the current installation and ask if it
should be added, say yes ("y"). On the next line, call it Windows XP, then
for the third line, just put /fastdetect

Remove the CD, and type exit to restart. This should give you an option to
boot a normal system. Afterwards, you can open boot.ini in notepad and
remove the unwanted extra line.
