Can't load windows

Hi,
I just upgraded my Athlon 2.4 ghz to a 3 ghz
processor. I had a working windows on the hard drive, but
when I put the drive into the new system, it boots to the
screen and asks for normal start or last known good
configuration. Neither of these will work. The machine
just sits there. I have two machines that I'm upgrading
and both do the same thing. I am using already formatted
drives with programs and files on them. What can I do?

Did you change the motherboard as well, or just install a faster CPU
on the same motherboard?

If it is just a faster CPU then it should work with no problems.

However if you changed the motherboard along with the CPU then you
will need to do a Repair Install as per the instructions at
