I maintain our company website and have always accessed it
by going to IE then choosing the edit with frontpage
option. The problem I am experiencing has now happened on
two different computers. After a session of edits and
confirming changes via IE and closing out I am unable to
reopen our website via IE but am able to view our website
on all other computers here in the office. So I am now
associating my inability to access the website with my use
of frontpage. Also I really don't know where my web
folders exist, as in: If I open Frontpage first and try to
route to our files where the webs are kept I am unable to
locate this. Help.

To open the site using FrontPage:
open FrontPage, then click File, click
Open web and type in the address of your website
like this: http://www.websitename.com you should be prompted
for a username and password and then the site "should" open
in FrontPage.

You really "should" use this method to edit your site.

As for the machines that won't open the site in IE,
delete the Temporary Internet and history files and delete the
cookies. close and reopen IE and then try it.

Dear Steve:

After clearing temps, history, etc. I am again able to
view the website via IE as well as going through Frontpage
and entering the website addy. Thank you very much, this
was very frustrating and you've been a great help.
