Everytime I turn on my computer and go online, my home
page is changed from what I set in the internet options.
I also can't get rid of some icons on my desktop that
say "search engine", "tonnexe", and various others. Also
can't get rid of "Globaldialer". Windows XP home edition
and MSN Explorer. Thanks abunch!!

I couldn't find tonnexe on google, but the globaldialer one can be nasty -
as one of my friends found out when she got her phone bill a couple of years
back (leading to her boyfriend getting a bit of earache). That one was
hijacking his dial up connection and redialing a premium rate number direct
to a porn site.

Download adaware and/or spybot and test your system. Install antivirus
software and keep it up to date. Install xps critical updates. Run a
hardware firewall if you're on broadband, install a software one too.
Some freeware insists on installing other peoples rubbish on your pc unless
you pay for the software and often stops working if you uninstall any of the
rubbish. (That's the main reason I run a software firewall - at least I can
prevent the rubbish connecting out onto the internet.). Sometimes just
visiting a malicious website can lead to your machine being exploited.
