I posted the question and also one more person, and we got no answer. I'm
using WinXP and use IE6. I can't keep multiple websites open anymore. What
could have changed for that to happen. Any help is appreciated.......Peter

Check your system for "hijackware".

Dealing with Hijackware

http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/Darnit.htm#tshoot
http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm

HijackThis (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip) is the
preferred tool to use these days. It will help to both identify and remove
any hijackware/spyware. **Post your files to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/, not here.**

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
now on, do both daily.

Pa Baer, thank you for your help. Isn't there a fix for being able to
display more then one website w/o worrying about spyware? I got so many
items displayed, when I ran the Hijack software, I don't know what to do.

Hey Pa Bear, I will post the files to that forum and take it up with them.
However, is there a different answer for the fix on the 'one URL at a time'
I don't get it. What if the answer is not spyware? Windows has to have an
answer for being able to look at multiple URL's. You got to know it, you
know most everything. I know it.:) Anyway, if you happen to have another
answer, please give me a hint..........Peter

Tools/Internet Options/Advanced Tab.
Look at the setting for "Reuse windows .....

Yahoo! companion can also play havoc with this. You decide if you have it.

Hello Henri, I tried answering from work, but I could not find my post.
Anyway, the reuse windows is checked, does that mean I should uncheck it?
Sorry for the possible stupid question, but I can't figure it
out.......Peter
