can't join domain with 2k server

I have two windows 2000 server standard machines, newly
set up.

I have set up one as the domain controller, and the other
is just a workgroup machine right now. I want the other
to join the domain controller. I am doing that though
the 'network identification' in 'my computer'. What I get
is a network identificion error validating the domain
name. It says, 'condition may be caused by dns lookup
problem'.

I am an intermediate at 2000, but have never had two
servers on a domain controller before. Can you help?

See reply in win2000.active_directory. Please don't multipost - if you need
to post to multiple groups, it's best to crosspost instead, by posting a
