Everytime I try to install the express version of SP1 (or is it SP1a?), it stops. First, I'm not sure if I should install SP1 or SP1a. Whichever one they have on the Windows update site--it downloads, but the installation always goes bad. Can anyone please help?

Hi Debbie,

- From Start > Run > msconfig disable third-party utilities, such as
Download Accelerator.
- Verify that the date and hour of the system is correct.
- from Control Panel > Internet Options, delete Temporary Internet
Files, cookies and History.
- From IE > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced options tab, verify
that you have unchecked the option to verify revocation of server
certificates.
- From IE > Tools > Internet Options, click in language and verify
that you have defined the language of your operating system.
- Delete the folder 'catroot2' which is in \Windows\System32
- Reboot the system and try to update from Windows Update.
