can't install WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER

hi. the installition freezes at 99%. i learnt from google that i can
download it from one of the MVPs website. i did that and its 16.5 mbs but i
wont install either. i start the installition and it shows up a dialog box
and then it dissappears and nothing happens!

please tell me how do i get windows live messenger?
 
hello. thats what i did! and instead it installed the 'windows livc
installer' which installs the windows live messenger inturn. anyway the
issue is resolved. when i restarted windows, messenger poped up from
nowhere!
life is funny
