Can't install video editing program on XP

try this, put disc in, when it starts to load push cancel
instal. you then do this: start/programs/access... look
down that list and find " PROGRAM COMPATABILITY" goto it.
when setting up, use the ME settings it WILL load once
done tell it to use it as a ME setting!!! this will work.
 
I am trying to use this on an XP machine. I tried it on
my ME machine and it worked fine. The XP is the one that
won't load it right, but my friend's XP machine does run
it. I did try and do what you wrote, but I didn't see a
program compatibility tab on my XP menu.
