Hi,

I want to test BCM.
So I have installed it on a station.

I'm using Exchange Server 2003 on a SBS 2003 server.
So my Email account use it.

I have downloaded the patch (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=831747)
but the patch can't be installed and I don't know why!

the error is "business contact manager for outlook 2003 was not installed"

When I try to start Outlook using another profile with a POP3 access to my
server instead-of the exchange access. Then BCM ask me to create a database,
I create one (so BCM is installed!!!)
but my outlook crash!
when I'm using the new profile, with BCM configured, outlook always crash.

any idea?

thanks.

Jerome.

Jerome, have you tried downloading and installing the new update which
was just release a few weeks ago? It's called the Business Contact
Manager Update and can be downloaded at
http://www.microsoft.com/office/outlook/contactmanager/prodinfo/update.mspx.

This update allows you to use BCM with an Exchange profile (even if
it's not on SBS). There is also a new PocketPC version that allows you
to sync you BCM contacts with your PocketPC if you have one.

Give this a try and see how it goes.

You don't need the patch for Winxp sp2 or BCM v2.

win2003 server, especially with the recent updates, should be ok. What
happens when you try it?

(I have v2 installed on a win2003 server machine and it's fine.)
